NG Nordic sought a reliable and efficient solution for managing low metal concentrations. As a solution, Weeefiner delivered a customized 4D Scavenger® container that enables the selective and cost-effective removal of soluble heavy metals.
NG Nordic is a leading Nordic provider of circular economy solutions and environmental services, operating internationally through more than 90 waste management facilities. At one of NG Nordic’s waste treatment plants, a common challenge was encountered: dissolved heavy metals were entering the wastewater, and the existing water treatment system was unable to remove them with sufficient precision.
To address this challenge, Weeefiner designed and delivered a customized 4D Scavenger® container that enables compliance with tightening environmental regulations and supports NG Nordic’s sustainability targets. The system utilizes Weeefiner’s proprietary 4D Scavenger® technology, which allows for the selective removal of dissolved heavy metals—improving the cost efficiency of water treatment while minimizing waste generation.
Automated equipment tailored to the needs of a waste treatment facility
The solution design was based on laboratory testing and on-site piloting, which enabled the process to be tailored to the specific requirements of the customer’s operating environment and wastewater line.
The delivered equipment was built into an insulated and heated 12-meter HC shipping container, operating automatically as part of the plant’s wastewater process. The delivery scope included not only the manufacturing and delivery of the equipment, but also process, electrical, and automation design, 3D design and modeling, FAT and SAT testing, and personnel training for operation.
